Valerio Francini is a 26-year-old independent director and screenwriter from Rome, where he was born and raised. He began his creative journey with analog photography at a young age, which quickly sparked his passion for cinema and visual storytelling.

ABOUT VALERIO
In recent years, Valerio has written and directed several music videos and short films. One of his latest projects, "maskara — ycon ydol," was shot entirely on 16mm and Super 8 film. The music video won Best Rock Video at the Europe Music Video Awards 2025 and was officially selected at festivals in Toronto, Tokyo, and Rome.
Valerio studied philosophy—a path that may seem far removed from cinema, but one he chose to shape himself as a person and deepen his understanding of the world and reality. This perspective continues to influence his artistic vision and approach to storytelling.
