Believe in your art and win! Submit your music video and become part of an international community of creators competing for seasonal and annual awards.
SEASONAL EVALUATION
At the end of each season, the jury evaluates all submitted projects and selects the best ones. Winners receive official recognition and diplomas, and they also advance to the official selection for screenings organized throughout the year. In addition, they are included in the annual evaluation, the yearly ceremony, and the TOP 20 rankings.
ANNUAL EVALUATION
Season winners compete for the most prestigious festival awards and the opportunity to be ranked among the most significant music videos of the year, as well as to receive awards in the main categories.
SCREENINGS & SHOWCASES
Selected projects are showcased through festival screenings, special events, online showcases and partner programs. The highlight of the festival year is a gala ceremony celebrating outstanding music videos, creators, and creative achievements. The event features a rich program, artist networking, live interviews and and much more

EVENTS
ANNUAL CEREMONY
The highlight of the festival year is a gala ceremony celebrating the best music videos, creators, and creative achievements. The event brings together filmmakers, musicians, industry professionals, and audiences for an evening of screenings, awards presentations, recognition, and networking. It also includes audience voting and many other activities. Find more information about the annual ceremony here.
SCREENING UNDER SKY
Annual screening at the Dis-art venue in the city center of Kosice - Slovakia, set in a unique open-air atmosphere that creates a beautiful summer experience under the night sky. As with the main ceremony, the screening is divided into a marathon and a main screening of best seasonal works, the audience votes for the best music video.
AMPHITHEATER
Starting in summer 2026, we are launching a screening of the best seasonal music videos at the amphitheater in the city of Trebišov. Enjoy a large-scale showcase of selected music videos in an amphitheater setting designed for a powerful audiovisual experience. The combination of a large-format screen, high-quality sound, and a live audience creates a truly cinematic atmosphere.
UNIQUE SCREENINGS
One of special screening event held during Black Night (which does not take place every year) in the historic setting of Košice Castle. By combining contemporary audiovisual works with a unique cultural landmark, the event offers an unforgettable experience for both creators and audiences. As part of this event, we curate a selection of darker, more dramatic music videos that align with the Black Night concept.
CROSS EUROPE
A future initiative aimed at bringing selected music videos to audiences across Europe through screenings, partnerships, and cultural collaborations. The program seeks to connect creators, cities, and communities while expanding the international reach of outstanding audiovisual works. The first rollout of the program in additional European cities is realistically expected in 2027 or 2028, when will we be able to produce a full-scale event at the consistent quality.
AWARDS
SEASONAL AWARDS
At the end of each season, outstanding projects are recognized by the jury and awarded official festival laurels and diplomas. Winners in the Best Music Video category receive the official Europe Music Video Awards trophy. Seasonal winners automatically advance to the annual competition and become eligible for the festival’s highest distinctions. All winners and Honorable Mentions may order a personalized trophy through the festival website. Seasonal and annual results are permanently archived in the Winners section.
ANNUAL AWARDS
At the end of each competition year, the strongest projects compete for the festival’s highest honors, including Best Music Video, Shock Award, Best Cinematography, Best Production, Best Original Song, Best Low Budget Music Video and Best Director. Main category winners receive official trophies and diplomas presented during the Annual Ceremony or by personal delivery. Selected nominees may also be recognized through special nominations and annual distinctions.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
Beyond awards and recognition, EMVA aims to create additional opportunities for selected creators. These may include promotion through festival channels, partner networks, screenings, media exposure and special collaborations.
Selected artists may also receive support through partner initiatives, including radio airplay opportunities and contributions toward travel expenses related to festival activities and events.
Our goal is not only to celebrate outstanding work, but to help exceptional creators gain visibility, build meaningful connections and continue growing their artistic careers.

TEAM MEMBERS
STEFAN LUKAC, MBA

FOUNDER & JURY MEMBER & EVENT PRODUCER
Stefan Lukac is a musician, director and producer connecting music, film and creative management. He discovered his passion for art through the violin and later expanded his perspective by studying innovation in Prague (MBA). Performing under the moniker Stev:on he has appeared at notable Slovak festivals and his music has accumulated millions of streams worldwide. As a director and producer, he has worked on more than 50 music videos for both personal and commercial projects and contributed to the production of internationally awarded film and art projects. Through EMVA, his goal is to support a global community of creators, helping artists gain recognition, discover new opportunities, build meaningful connections and find inspiration to continue pushing the boundaries of their creativity.
MARTINA LUKACOVA
ADMINISTRATION & JURY MEMBER & SOCIAL MEDIA
She is responsible for festival administration and organizational processes. As a member of the festival jury, she brings a systematic, analytical and independent perspective to the evaluation of projects. Her professional background contributes valuable objectivity and analytical insight to the jury, helping ensure a balanced assessment of creative works from diverse perspectives.

MATUS ZELIZNAK

JURY MEMBER & CINEMATOGRAPHER
Matúš Želižňák is a vital member of the festival jury with an extraordinary eye for every single detail. As a professional cinematographer, his daily life is deeply intertwined with both commercial and artistic projects of all kinds. A true tech expert, Matúš masters every phase of filmmaking, from on-set production and editing to advanced color grading and final export. Furthermore, as a passionate audiophile and sound technology enthusiast, his extensive practical expertise makes him a trusted consultant even for seasoned sound engineers.
MARTIN JARINA
JURY MEMBER & PIANIST
Martin Jarina represents the deep musical, theoretical, and classical foundation of our jury. He works as a piano educator at an art school and is a respected expert in historical musical styles and music history. Through his expertise, he brings invaluable academic insight and a refined sensitivity to the quality, structure, and purity of musical composition to the evaluation process. Martin is also an integral part of the festival itself. Each year, he curates the accompanying artistic program and, through his piano performances, contributes to the unique atmosphere of the official award ceremony.

DANIEL KUCHAR

JURY MEMBER, CEREMONY ART SUPPORT, MODERATOR
Daniel Kuchar brings to the jury experience in theatre, acting, and directing. He has been involved in theatre for more than 10 years as an actor and, in recent years, has also worked as a director of theatre ensembles. He gained his artistic foundations through studying literary-dramatic arts at an art school. As the founder of a theatre ensemble, he has gained experience in creating and leading artistic projects. He is currently expanding his work into the field of audiovisual creation, where he combines his theatrical background with film language, working with actors, and storytelling.
CEREMONY SUPPORT
The annual ceremony is co-created by additional team members. During the last edition, model Katarína Feničinová served as the festival Ambassador, presenting the annual awards and creating social media content. Petronela Hurajová, the official host, guided the artists and attendees through the ceremony and conducted creative interviews for the web. Patrik Pajtaš, along with the group A Solis Ortu, delivered a live LED show and took care of the stage's visual production.
